I’d like to submit my own novel for Marcela’s consideration. Especially since she had a big hand in inspiring me, not just to finish it, but to make it better. The title of my novel is “The Heartbreak Pill” and it features a Latina scientist as the protagonist, though it may seem that she looses her power to heartbreak, this is only the beginning to her reclaiming it in a bigger, broader way. The novel won the 2009 Latino Book Award for Best Novel - Romance, and has just been published in Spanish as “La pildora del mal amor.” You can learn more about me at my website, or at my blog, “Wise Latina Woman” at http://wiselatinawoman.wordpress.com. Many thanks. Fantastic and much-needed site. Anjanette
