Aurelia Flores
Aurelia Flores founded PL in 2007 as a company that would gather together Latina women to learn from and share with one another. In particular, she was interested in successful Latina women who have overcome obstacles to provide inspiration to others that anything is possible.
PowerfulLatinas.com launched its first project, an interview series, to compile a storehouse of wisdom from Latinas who have reached successful peaks in their lives. The project is an exciting one and geared to provide inspiration, personal growth and motivation for Latinas and others nation-wide.
The goal is to motivate and inspire women – young, old, and everything in between– to learn from others’ life lessons.
Her own life story one of inspiration, Aurelia understands what it means to overcome obstacles. After becoming pregnant at 15, she graduated from high school a year early and went immediately to college where she received her B.A. in Sociology. She received her law degree from Stanford Law School and then was awarded a post-graduate Fulbright Fellowship to study in Mexico City.
Aurelia has been practicing corporate law for the past ten years, first at a prominent law firm and now for a Fortune 300 company where she specializes in intellectual property.
As a young woman, Aurelia personally found a lack of positive role models in her life. The scope of possibilities and opportunities that were known to her was very narrow.
During the course of her own academic and professional life she found the lack of guidance and experience a hindrance to her at various points in her life. She believes it would have been great to have had role models to look up to.
Aurelia wants to offer a learning opportunity to other women who might find themselves in similar shoes. She strongly believes women can learn from other women, no matter where they are in their career or life path.
Aurelia volunteers for various non-profit organizations, and sits on the Board of the San Diego Museum of Art. She is a proud mother and her son now attends Georgetown University.
I’d love to hear from you, so please email me at Aurelia@powerfullatinas.com!

Aurelia:
I just came accross your website by accident when I was reading an article on Maria Inojosa and I am glad I found it. Just by a a quick scan of the topics and content of these topics I can see what a tool this is not only for women in general but for men also as we sometimes fail to understand (an understatement)issues that women face. Much success and you certainly have a new active reader for your website. Much health and success for the future.
You represent, along with other successful latinas, all the wonderful and important, at all levels, that immigrants bring to the United States of America.
Cordialmente,
Wilber Quintanilla

Hello Aurelia, you’re doing a great job with the site! I am executive producer for a TV Show in San Marcos,TX would love to have a profile of you on my web site and TV show. Like you, I want to inspire young Latinas with my show but I’m so bogged down with producing everything that I feel I’m missing something in the content. I was hoping you could take a look at my show and tell me what you think. Thank you.

Hola Aurelia I would like to congratulate you on your accomplishment and your example to the latinos of the world, I am trying to help many of them in my own way by getting them to join a company called ACN it is endorsed by some big names that you will see if you would please take the time from your busy schedule I really would like your support for this by having you join as a ACN rep or buying or letting me try and save you on your telecommunication needs, If I can get someone that has such a big effect on our community, I think that this company can help many latinos that just need to take a chance to try and get ahead in the world, I thank you for taking time to look this note, I know that you are extremely busy and God Bless Thomas Ramirez

To latinos everywhere I would like for everyone who wants to try and get ahead in the world. Take a few minutes to look at the Website ACN Telecommunication, many latinos have trouble believing in themselves and taking a chance so this keeps us down, If you are not happy with the resource financially and status take a look if you believe that you can make a difference or would like to support me. I thank you God Bless Thomas
